The restaurant also known as banana leaf rice because most of the food is served on a piece of banana leaf. Really good curry, full of flavour (unlike many outlets which now serve watered down curries!), and tender pieces of chicken ... nice fluffy Roti Canai as well. The Prime Minister (past and present) has been spotted having breakfast here numerous times ... yes, its a celebrity hotspot as well!
It has become a celebrity hotspot as well enjoyed by Past and Present ministers as their favourite morning tea's. The Ambience of the restaurant is good, clean and is air-conditioned with valued for money.
Love the fried chicken, great roti tisu (worth the 15 minute wait), and great ambience under the trees
A friend of mine suggested to venture Kedai Makanan Raju as he claims their roti canai is the best in Petaling Jaya, located just nearby La Salle School. We decided to drop by for high-tea to taste part of their delicacies. It was a quiet secluded place, next to an open padang, which makes it a great place for high-tea with the breeze blowing into our faces.
Cake spread is quite a delight; making this quite the lovely place for sweet tooth. Caffeine beverages were fairly decent. I took a sip of the Matcha Latte and reminded myself that not all matcha are meant to not go wrong. At least this one is an exceptional.
I really cannot remember what was the name of the food, but the huge platter was a vegetarian set, a chickin briani and some sweet dessert. Very good food.
Try the crab rasam and banana kulfi. Half a crab in an assortment of spices to infuse the light peppery Indian soup. The banana kufli was a good contrast between the smooth-creamy luscious mouth feel, enriched with bananasT
This quaint little cafe has profound potential to hit it high but they certainly lack in space.
This shop is located along Jalan Gasing and is next to the huge Chicken Rice shop 1977.
Chicken Rice @ Satellite Coffeeshop, Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya
So in order to save time, I just made a brief pit-stop for a quick breakfast @ Kanna Curry House.
The inner dining area and bar counter on the right where wines and beers are available.
Maharaj is a good place to have an Indian meal; it's nearby enough for those staying in Petaling Jaya, parking is ample as it's a standalone bungalow-turned-restaurant, and most importantly, you know you'll get good food time and time again.
This restaurant being around for quite some times back...They are still serving good chicken rice.
Overall, Mamarazzi likes the Kanna Curry House at Sect 17 better. They give more types of curry for us and I get to eat for Free.
