Nyonya Restaurant serve Authentic Nyonya cuisine has always been my favourite because I love a fusion of Chinese and Malay cooking. Located at the seclude area of SS2, Restaurant Nyonya still have the capability to create the crowd with their simple and nice dish
Overall, the lunch was really fulfilling and we felt really healthy after the meal. LOL! It's nice having some vegetarian lunch or dinner once in a while. But I think it's best if we order more of vegetable rather than those flour made food which look like meat.
The Village Chicken Restaurant has been operating in SS2 since the 80s. You'll see a proud display of an article back from a 1985 copy of the The Star newspaper hanging on the wall talking about the owner and his special breed of capier chickens. They are supposed to taste better. Parking in this part of SS2 is relatively easy, especially in th evenings or weekends.

The food at Two Fatty Seafood Restaurant was actually really good. It's definitely better than some of the Dai Chow Restaurants around the SS2 Area.
Cafe for the geeks with interesting menu and good choices. They serve awesome Salted Egg Yolk Pasta with Roasted Pork. Reasonable prices and good service.

MELAKA STREET, SS2
The place has a very homey feel catering to an older crowd. And that's reflected even in the live music with music from the 50s & 60s. Live music in a nyonya restaurant with the singer belting evergreens from Cliff Richards & Elvis - not bad. So I guess part of the reason why the place is packed is that people come here for the music as well.
Actually I find this restaurant can almost compete with restaurant at Malacca such as Nyonya Makko but I believe there are plenty of room for improvement. I will try Restoran Nyonya next time when my "Nyonya" mood returns. Parking is ample here and their wi-fi too.
This place serves excelent noodles in 2 sizes and 2 flavours.
Will I have curry noodles here again? Hmm...maybe (if I want seafood curry noodles). I'll share with someone instead of ordering 1 bowl myself because it's too expensive.

Ah Tuan Ee's Place is a warm and welcoming homely restaurant, a place to rekindle your tastebuds with flavours of homecooked food. Serving authentic Nyonya cuisine in SS2 just next to the New Paris Restaurant, the place was small which gave a warm homely feeling to it. A quiet secluded restaurant with limited seats available.
Non-Halal Steamboat
I love the fact that it provides one portion of steamboat for a person. If you are a steamboat lover but doesn't own a bottomless pit, you can consider coming to this restaurant!
Kanna Curry House is not only famous for its traditional Indian curry and banana leave rice, but also fried seafood and meat.

Siew Kow was full of essential ingredients to make it stand out. Looks appealing and was not salty.
The good service, the homey feeling it gives me and the food... all within reasonable price.
Pizzeria Bella Italia, SS2 Petaling Jaya
You may have to spend around RM20 per pax for a meal here if you order their char siew separately by portion sizes. If you find the prices too steep, then go for a more reasonably priced plate of char siew rice. Though this place has been around for 7 years now, I don't know if the standard is still the same as when they first started (since this is my first visit) but it definitely has a place (in my books) among some of the top-notch char siew I've had over the years. We tend to eat at the same places or close to where we live and I'm only discovering some of these places since I started blogging about my food experiences among others. I guess I should have come sooner but better late than never, right? It'll be interesting to see what's in store at their new place.....new additions to the menu perhaps? I shall return! ^_^
