For starters, we ordered a set of Pai Tee... They received our Thumbs UP!
Hon Kee 汉记靓粥 famous for their porridge.
Their chee cheong fun with sweet brown sauce and sesame seed was comparable to it's competitors.
The store has been operating here for quite a long time now, I think for more than 10 years. It's one of the few places where I can still get the Cantonese "chung" which I prefer. The "chung" here is one of the better ones but maybe it's because it's the only Cantonese "chung" that I can find.
Bak Chang Stall, Petaling Street
Happy Meal is a pastry shop at one of the corner shop along Jalan Hang Lekir.
Famous Durian Puff
This was an accidental supper, but one that we were glad we ended up having or else we would never have known! Do give it a try, if you're along Jonker Street at night!
Yin Futt Kuok still stands as one of our favourite vegetarian restaurant in town.
Review: Yin Futt Kuok Vegetarian Restaurant
The stall erved the most amazing Hakka Mee and Pan Mee with cheap price. The stall also served many other noodles variety such as the Curry Chicken Wan Than Mee which is just as good.
PETALING STREET (CHINATOWN) HAKKA/PAN MEE
This time, I had claypot loh shu fun from Keong-Keong stall. It was a satisfying meal (maybe I hungry, as I didnt have breakfast earlier.. hehehehe)....
I found the slices of char siew was too thick. Perhaps one may argue that you get value for money but to me it lacked finesse. The wantan was small and I suppose it was decent. However, the soup didn't taste good.
The noodles here were nice and springy and the sauce for the dry wantan mee sauce was unique compared to many others.
