Restaurants in Kepong

One of the most satisfying meals we had recently was at Hong Hong Chicken Rice restaurant.

We were very satisfied with the overall experience at Sweet Hut.

All in all, we were very happy with our dinner. Hence we won’t hesitate to return again to try the other dishes.

Price range is a bit higher at this area but I don’t mind paying more for some good quality dim sum and a comfy dining environment.

Fancy having really fresh seafood barbecue, one where your crab is so fresh it's still alive and kicking. Then you must head to CEO BBQ Premium Seafood Barbecue @ Jalan Kepong, Kuala Lumpur for that uniquely fresh premium seafood barbecue.

Overall it was a decent meal.

The coffee served at Kopi Street was decent.

The surrounding is quite clean for a food van and there’s not single fly was spotted based on my multiple visits here so far.

Despite all the wonderful things I have said about Fook Loong, it’s not perfect due to the rather diluted chili sauce which could be a lot better. That totally counts as nitpicking though.

As for the roast duck, the flesh was moist and juicy with a pleasant salty taste without overpowering the duck’s natural flavour – it was just delicious.

We ordered for 2 persons with 2 additional side orders, namely fish paste and special meatballs. The portion was just nice for the 3 of us. The texture of the fish paste tasted like 'fish balls'.

4Get Hotpot Restaurant offers top quality ingredients with some rather unique and exclusive premium broth to enjoy your steamboat with. I really like the assam laksa broth, and would recommend it to anybody coming here for their steamboat fix.

That said, if they truly want to compete with the big boys, they need to conjure up their own homemade sauces from scratch instead of using store-bought ones.

Because the soup is light to the palate, you could really taste the meat’s natural flavours.
