Alma Char Koay Teow, consisting of a team of three chefs, a beverage stall, a cashier and a few waiters.
Alma Char Koay Teow @ Bukit Mertajam
Love the option of fried mantis prawn, the soup was thick and scrumptious.
Great to have extra duck egg to topped on the char koay teow
The 'sambal' paste is simply delicious. You can mix it with your warm yam rice or just dip the offals in it!. simply yammie.....
To be honest, the price here is outstanding if compare to other coffee shop nearby its. But, is worth for a try. I personally do like their braised beef noodles. Definitely will back there for that one again.
This restaurant is not a recommended place at all. The food is nothing to shout about. We had bad experience dine in. Poor service & ignorant lady boss, the kitchen is dirty, and the food is poorly prepared. We ordered steamboat and there’s cockroaches on the table crawling and went on top of our food, when we told the cashier who is the lady boss but she gave us a black face and just took away the food! She just put in kitchen simply use water drained on top than give it back to us like its normal thing. No apology and the attitude like thinks they’re the best and don’t wish to do business at all! We ended up didn’t eat that food. First of all they are registered gst company, we don’t know about but due to they simply charged us the food and without give us the receipt so we request for receipt and she told us that we need to pay additional 6% gst if we want the receipt. Unethical business owner & food are dirtyly prepared & expensive. Never visit again!
The most popular food sold here is none other than Dried Hokkien Noodles, “Hokkien Ta” - Highly acclaimed as the best in BM. The others are so-so, nothing worth mentioning.
For advise, do come early before 9am. If not pork ribs will be sold. Do not leave any disappointment to yourself when drop by here.
The more popular food here are the curry mee and belacan chicken.
Penang Curry Mee @ Taman Sri Rambai – Standard Dropped
For my personal view of point, the dim sum is just above average level, but the best part is plenty of choices dim sum and fried stuff.
Still good if compared to those steamboat restaurants in supermarkets in Penang.
They have wide range of seafood steamboat ingredient which has a price range starting from RM30 - RM150 depends on your requirement.
Food Rating 7/10, quite okay, for a outlet like this~ ~-Stamped-
