Type of service: self-service ( in choosing own wanted ingredients)-First, choose a bowl of noodles (either bihun or noodles). Secondly, pick the ingredients (fish/chicken/beef slices, squids, crab meat, sausages, taufu, vegetables and the signature deep fried fish. Lastly, hand the bowl of your chosen ingredients and noodles to the hawker and wait to be served.
Another new addition to the exciting cafe scene at Butterworth- Artichoke Cafe, is not an ordinary cafe next door. It does have something solid and sturdy to offer.

No, not that they proffer an outstanding menu but we thought their interior decor was somewhat impressive- homey and comfy setting, in shades of wooden beam. If you are lucky, you might get to sit on the comfortable couches, enjoying your plate of hearty brunch and sipping on their freshly brewed cup of Joe.
Just to be clear, I am not recommending this particular stall. This post is just a general introduction to one of the food which I feel deserves more attention in Penang. Don’t get me wrong though, the noodle was alright but I had better ones on the island side.
Overall we found that the taste was just average compared to those in Penang island. It was like lacking of some sort of “kick” to remind you to go back to the same stall again.
