ANDY LAU and his family started this pau (steamed bread dumpling) business in 1992 at Taman Connaught, Cheras and named one of their big buns after a famous sexy Hongkong actress called Yip Chee May aka Amy Yip. This bun is three times the normal tai (big) pau—its width is 18cm, weight 450g). At RM5.00 each, Yip Chee May Tai Pau is a favourite not only among the locals in Cheras or Kuala Lumpur but also those from outstation.

Since we went off the lunch peak hour the service was pretty brisky even though we ordered a relatively sizeable amount of meat for the 5 of us. They offered a wide variety of meat other than their famed goose including steamed chicken, roast pork (siu yuk) which of course we didnt skip out on and a few other seasonal variations offered on weekends.
