Yut Kee is one of the grand old lady of the Kuala Lumpur kopitiam scene having been established since 1928. Today it's being run by the third generation of the family.

Tried the Hainanese Chicken Chop and the Roti Babi because they're famous for these. NOTHING SPECTACULAR. The Hainanese Chicken Chop looks like something they just spoldged on the plate and splash the sauce on it before they charged you an arm and a leg for it. The Roti Babi was full of oil and tasted very bland. No air-conditioning, the place is clean but feels like a pig stable because of the crowds. Only people with more money than sense (or doesn't enjoy good food) will keep coming back here for the bland food. However the kaya swiss rolls are highly recommended.
Recommended dishes: Kaya swiss rolls
Old Shop
Tried this place twice because, despite the rave reviews given to it by almost every KL food blogger, I found the food pretty bland and not very good at all.
Recommended dishes: Fried rice, Hainan chicken chop, kaya toast
Of course we enjoyed having the cakes and swiss rolls at home, at our comfort!
ojsiew.blogspot.comPerhaps pork isn't the best way to kickstart a Sunday as a substitute for the usual brunch options. A day filled with food, caffeine and GPS navigation.
twistedtints.blogspot.comOverall Rating: 8/10. The crowd of hungry onlookers kept on coming while we were busy feeding off our plates. After so many years, I still don't quite get the hype about the place - the long wait and the okay only dishes with a few standouts.
spicysharon.blogspot.comSometimes I felt this place might be too old and too famous to pass, so I would still drop by just to have a feel of old coffeeshop. Chicken Chop is still decent, Robi Babi is intriguing, and didn't get to try the Roasted Pork Special yet.
Overall Rating: 5/10. I find this place way overrated and many have said that it's dishes wasn't as good as before. Also, parking spaces were hard to find. I will only revisit to try the infamous roast pork roll.
spicysharon.blogspot.comWhen the first few rolls of roast pork were being carried out from the kitchen, you could see necks craning, heads popping up like meerkats, and greedy eyes following the woman bearing the magnificent rolls outside to be sliced.
intheweehours.wordpress.comStepping into Yut Kee, it almost feels like I’ve travelled back in time as this place seems to have stopped moving since the 1930s. The old school charm of this place oozes out from every corner!

kellychoo.blogspot.comthe butter cake was heavenly. the outside was crisp, and the inside, buttery and moist. one slice costs about rm 1.10. absolutely loved it.
food-opoly.blogspot.comSince a child, my parents would bring me to Yut Kee after church as we love the food here. Till now, at least 15 years had passed, we still come here whenever we're down in KL or just craving for their chicken chop or fish chop, the gravy is just superb - at least I've haven't tasted elsewhere as good as this. I've recommended this place to many friends and all of them loved it. You just gotta order the Must Try like Roti Babi, Pork Roll, Swiss roll, French Tost, etc...

eforericyong.blogspot.comBesides the restaurant with years of great business, Yut Kee is famous for several dishes such as their roti babi (deep fried loaf filled with pork and caramelized onions), pork/chicken/lamb chops, their homemade kaya and their oh so good and moist marble cake and swiss roll!

www.tasteiest.comTwo rolls of Kaya Roll were priced at RM9, which we thought was very reasonably priced. They were soft, fluffy and fragrant with their homemade kaya.

harrycath.blogspot.comThe famous Pork Chop & Chicken Chop. To be honest the pork or chicken is normal only and the sauce so so only. I wonder why so many people willing to queue for like 20-30 minutes to have theirs breakfast?
tallboyz.blogspot.comWell, it was all worth it. ... Finally i get to order this famous Roast Pork Roll, because this was always sold out by 12.30pm.We were purposely to wake up early cause of get this Roast Pork Roll. The roast pork roll was served with the apple jam, a plate of serving came with only 2 pieces of the meat. Well, it was all worth it. The skin was magnificently crispy while the meat was tender. Similar to “siew yuk”, this was addictive! Its only served on weekend.

kwongeats.blogspot.comI like this roti babi. It's marinated pork slices which have been fried with accompaniments which I was too excited eating to notice. Then it is sandwiched in slices of bread, dipped in egg and pan-fried like French Toast. Yum!

www.what2seeonline.comOverall, the trip over was worth it. Since I never really compliment any roast port dishes before. This is because, roast pork has little criteria which is freshly roasted and crispy outer layer.
