Overall it was a nice experience and MFP is one of the more unique steamboat restaurant in town because of their signature milky and fried Garoupa fish head styled soup. Definitely worth a try.
Despite the inattentive service, the dim sum here was above average and one of the better choice in Kepong area.
Steamed dim sum are served in bamboo baskets and others on sushi plates. It is actually quite appropriate because Yi Yan actually have some unique dishes such as Stuffed Eggplant Roll with Thai Sauce, Deep Fried Avocado...
This restaurant is operated by a Malaysian man + Taiwanese women who is happily married and residing in Kepong. The lady boss operates this restaurant with the principle of providing authentic Taiwanese food and NOT Malaysianised Taiwanese flavour
D’licious Hot Pot Restaurant Revisited
... it was pretty decent plus the fish and ingredients were fresh, soup was light and tangy but even with the special hint of XO brandy it was nothing out of the ordinary...
We ate and chatted and ate again to our heart’s content. The good thing about all-you-can-eat meals is that you can eat as much as you want to or as little as you want to, whenever you feel like it! We could be chatting away with a cup of YoYo ice in hand in one minute, and swishing the sliced meat in another, all the while catching up with good friends over funny stories.
everything about their noodle from the thick and flavorful gravy to the spicy chili paste to the crunchy prawn fritters taste wonderful with the unmistakenbly Penang taste.
The taste and quality is quite close to those found in Penang, the 2 prawns were fresh and yummy. RM4.50 for this.
