We were warmly welcomed by the staff and were shown to our designated table. It was a rather breezy order, as there were already some dishes that they specifically wanted me to try. We just ordered some other dishes that caught our attention (without thinking that perhaps we would not be able to finish so much) and our drinks. We wished we had bigger stomaches!

Below are some drooling photos of our “makan” trip at Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant, Old Klang Road. The food here is darn good and reasonably priced! Definitely a place worth trying.

A friendly waitstaff ushered us up the stairs to where there was more seating. Both of us shared some warm green tea, which we ordered first, and then proceeded to browse the menu.

A heavy dish, in my opinion, as the cheese and mentaiko takes on a very heavy flavour that makes up the Cheese Mentaiko Gyoza.

Anyway, I'm very satisfy with the food variety and the food preparation - clean and fast!

These food are available in any other japanese food eatery, but I must say their desserts are fantastic.

A special recommendation of dessert from the staff. It’s like Cookies & Cream! That hot cookie base topped with ice cream. Take my money! (next time I’ll order again for sure lol)

We opted for the RM40 dimsum buffet at Way. Unfortunately, the deal only covers 10 items. - Limited choices - Buffet is not so "fine", while their ala carte always aim to be "fine dining style" - Some dishes arrived lukewarm - Lazy decoration

Great to go in a group definitely! For celebrations especially, where we shouted “kanpai” & sing along with the live band!

The Japanese place great emphasis on the quality of ingredients and have always strived for excellence in food preparation.

A nice Japanese restaurant that focuses on the grill, should you want anything else, you got to go somewhere, but if you want yakitori, this is the place.

If you seek a good yakitori restaurant, then Ri-Yakitori is highly recommended. This place has a lovely view in the evening.

Overall, we were quite happy with our meal and would definitely be back for more ramen noodles. Check out their website for more details about their menu.

The enjoyment of savouring pieces of premium beef locked with satisfying juiciness, moist and fat are worthwhile, beyond your usual BBQ experience.

这家店也有提供 ala carte，所以 buffet 的 menu 是稍微不一样的。店家会送上一张 buffet menu，顾客们可以在想要点的食物旁写上点餐分量，服务员就会下单。

The menu is simple and straight forward and one might be tempted to actually to choose all 3 mains because they are all equally delightful!

Mont Kiara restaurant has been closed, dont know move to where
