What we really like about the food at Livello Uno is the distinctive unpretentious “home-cooked” flavours of their dishes, affordable pricing and the bright energetic vibes of the place. And yes, we’ll definitely go back for those amazing gnocchi!
Two types to choose from, cendol with mixed durian topping (RM12) or durian with Musang King Cendol (RM15). Fine shaved ice with cendol, fresh santan, red bean, gula melaka drizzle, crowned with durian pulp. A simple favourite local dessert that turns more noteworthy with a this famous tropical fruit.
I certainly believe this would be one of the most talk about cafe in the upcoming weeks as they have just open its door recently and it is already running full house yesterday. I have no doubt that they currently top in my list as a perfect brunch place. Indeed a highly recommended place in KL now. Perfect service too. Will certainly be back to try out other dishes. Mak Chick kept telling us her homemade nasi lemak is good and she sold us on it. We tried the Nasi Le Mak Chicken Berempah @ RM6 and the flavor of combo was just great. We liked everything about it, the rich and spicy sambal, fluffy rice and juicy ayam berempah. Best of all, the chicken is served boneless which makes eating a whole lot easier and more enjoyable too.

I just had probably the worst Italian meal in my life at Antonio’s Trattori Calabria. You know how sometimes you walk into a restaurant the vibe doesn’t feel right immediately? It was exactly like that here.
Verdict: Food was above average but this place always packed especially on weekends. I’m thinking to bring Sam here because she love Mac & Cheese and not many places offer it. Do let me know if you have any recommendations ya!
The food served there actually caught us by surprise. A fusion of western + local dishes. Coupled with super friendly waiters and barista, the whole experience dining at Fickles was pleasant. Pop by if you are in the neighbourhood, because we are sure we will!
La Famiglia is an Italian mafia themed food truck that specializes in pasta. It used to station itself at SS15 and Damansara Heights but has since found a permanent spot at TTDI.
Reason to visit: Quality cuisine and drinks; reasonable prices; chilled out ambience; pork belly; laksa bisque; carrot pappardelle; ratatouille; very affordable house wine.
The best compliment the gNOMes can give this place is that the food served here is very REAL. No pretense, no fancy names, just straightforward, honest and genuine food. Every dish has its own unique “character”, and the gNOMes will definitely be back with friends! Oh, but don’t let the chinese-shop appearance fool you, this place is indeed HALAL, and takes great efforts to ensure so.
The food is good. The place is extremely clean and cosy. The price is very reasonable. The way they cook the noodle is still follow the traditional method to cook. Therefore, when you try their cantonese fry noodle, you can tell the different right away.
Eating at Yik Kee definitely reminded me that I'm back in KL.
