The idea of Pickle & Fig is to offer healthy fresh gourmet panini, sandwiches and smoothie. We doesn’t just boast a healthy hearty palate but also prides itself as a nice cosy neighbourhood laid-back joint.

Overall, it was an okay dinner for us. The sandwich was good but the pasta needs serious improvements in my opinion. I love their game collections in the cafe. My boyfriend and I spend about 1 ½ hours playing their chess and card game. It was super fun to spend our weekend like this rather than dating hand-phones!!

Overall it is a great breakfast/brunch spot, hearty portion with reasonable price range. Read about their best selling pancakes is fabulous, will definitely drop by for it!

unpretentious ambience, stomach friendly portions (just right!) at reasonable prices, artisanal breads, Lime and Sour Plum Mojito, Memoire Breakfast, Smoked Duck Salad, Pork Chops, Mushroom Soup, Creamy Bacon Pasta with fettuccine, Tiramisu, Mango and Coconut Cream Tart.

For authentic Chinese food which is halal and pork free, Golden Valley comes highly recommended. Its one of our faves in town when we dine with our Muslim pals.

Tom, Dick & Harry’s is a new pub located next to Boathouse, and it is just a few doors away from Sid’s Pub in TTDI. It is a cosy tavern reputed to have a nice selection of tap and bottled beer, and hearty pub grub.

Food wise and I like the nett price they charged however the setting not really child friendly (it is a pub after all!!! So I’m not complaining, ok :P) Considering there are many other choices for breakfast/brunch, revisit most probably not anytime soon~

It was an okay dinner for us. We went all the way to there for Mentaiko Pasta but their Autumn Risotto manage to please us with their excellent taste. Good!! Excellent service, classy & elegant environment but the portion was rather small for the price we paid. I guess, even a small eater like me, needs to have 2 plates of main course.

This kopitiam has started their business for more than 25 years and the stall owners have much or less remained the same.

Will come back again to try out other stalls like char koay teow, wantan mee, and chicken rice. Will say no to their kopi peng (RM2.50). Taste like a watered down coffee, not “kau” at all.

The food there good and service excellent.

Good thing is worth waiting. Reserve 25 minutes of preparation for this Cherry Dark Chocolate Souffle. Fluffy light, melt in mouth chocolate custard meringue baked over highest heat, coupled well with run soaked pitted cherries laid at the bottom for refreshing, sourish touch.

Love the flavour selections of the wontons and the charcoal noodles. Definitely healthier with having the wontons air fried.

Great-tasting food & generous portion at affordable prices!

Although located in a rather quiet and inconspicuous lot, the quality of the food speaks beyond its nondescript location. The casually elegant setting is also perfect as a venue for a good meal with friends and family.

Overall Rating: 7/10. The French was good - the dishes that I sampled tonight was delicious. However I felt that the overall experience was lacking in that little warmth that I always look for in a neighborhood restaurant like this. But then again, French cuisine does not spell hearty - it is meant to feel exquisite and elegant.
