My wife love the Char Koay Kak, while I like the Chee Cheong Fun (RM 2 for 2).

The pineapple cake has a perfect balance of the sweetness and slight sourish tinge, excellent taste of the pineapple and not forget the nice aroma within.
A very chatty and passionate lady whom shared with us stories of herself and the restaurant.
It's beyond words.. maybe you would like to check it out yourself and verify if it suits your tastebuds! hehehe....
Lorong Macalister Old couple's cendul is cheaper with RM2.00 per bowl. I like this version. Not too waterly and still can feel the ice. Credit go to the red bean. It is delicious but did they ROAST the red bean?? How come taste so good and special!!
Setting of the place is simple and straight-forward (not meant for special occasions with your loved ones or largr groups).
Well, recently I have dine in twice whereby cooked by different people. First time the CKT is served by the old lady (which is the Sister), maybe she is getting old, so the CKT are not as good as last time. The Char Kuey Teow are quite bland and tasteless. My second visit to Sisters CKT and this time is served by an uncle (which is her brother). The Char Kuey Teow are quite delicious and flavorful
Ah San has been selling his unique type of chicken rice to the public. The rice served was different too as it was damp enough and had that special old ginger and chicken oil fragrance in it.

"Ghee Hiang...since 1856...its been a tradition." A Malaysian brandname built over a period nearing 150 years through careful nurturing, sound customer commitment and experience. We pride ourselves in handing down our century old (Fujian, China) recipes and trademarks in freshly baked biscuits, pastries and the art of sesame seed oil production. Amongst our many other biscuits and pastries, we originated Penang's first "Tau Sar Pneah"(Green Bean Paste Pastry) which till today, we are still famous and unique in its taste, although frequently copied but not matched by our competitors. Likewise our sesame seed oil have enjoyed rich traditions and successes true to the fact its a leading brandname in the culinary world, chefs and restaurateurs can attest to it.
My all-time favorite pastry from Penang and I like their sweet lotus paste pastry very much. The biscuits retain their freshness for several days without refrigeration.if want to have better taste, you may warm the pastry with microwave for 1 minute.
This restaurant is serving ala carte and set meals for lunch & dinner.
