the side dishes were all very decent. if i had extra stomach space, i would have refilled for kimchi, caramelized lotus root as well as blanch bean sprout!

Personally quite like their Assam Fish. Have a very nice combination o spicy and sour but slightly oily.
Today, let me tell you about "Poh Piah Lwee" located just along the shoplots (on the right) before turning in to Jonker Walk. The poh piah, RM3, here is really yummy! The jicama is nicely marinated and boiled in a way that it is not too dry, not too sweet and best of all it's just right! Crunchy, fresh, sweet and mix really well with all the other ingredients in the poh piah. What I love most about Malacca poh piah is that you can actually find fried pork lard oil inside! The one I tried at Bunga Raya was very wet and oily, they were really generous on the pork lard oil and sauce but it was abit overwhelming. At Poh Piah Lwee, the amount is just right, just perfect!
The restaurant brings you with a variety of delights that assured you with the full tummy to head back home.
If you want to taste the original cendol, head down to Bukit Rambai Cendol. This Peranakan auntie known as Auntie Koh serves the best original cendol in Melaka!
If you look for a dose of sweetness to overcome the sorrows deeply embedded in your heart, you shall go to have desserts which are the best medicine for your heart and soul. Bukit Rambai Aunty Koh's best cendol would be the best selection for your soul and during hot weather.
It is one of the oldest restaurant in Melaka.
CONQUERING MALACCA - DAY 1 (BREAKFAST & LUNCH)
Choice of fish in a hot pot of sour-spicy soup to be eaten together with rice, cabbages and salted egg. A dish which is considerable cheap in Malacca.
Only one in melaka. Shiftt since 2009 from melaka raya to jln laksamana cheng ho near bukit cina roundabout.
Mmm...it's yummy....did not regret having this.
Personally I prefer Melaka version of NO BLACK VERSION Wanton Mee than Pontian Wanton Mee in Johor.
After tasting so many ABC in Melaka, this by far is the best for me. Not to mention it’s authentic, cheap and not prepared in some hippy cafe at some touristy area.
This shop is situated on the same street as Hoe Kee and it is about 5 minutes walking distance from Hoe Kee. Drop by for a cool and revitalising cendol.
if you likey dine in peace, i’d suggest you to go on weekdays where the wait staff will serve you like you’re the highness. service is impeccable however it can get a lil’ slow when the noon crowd comes in during lunchy hour.
All in all, the Teo Chew cuisine served in Teo Soon Loong Restaurant is delish. if you’re first time here like me, i would recommend both of the specialty dishes – Signature Oyster Noodles & Teo Chew Yam Dessert.
This time the dishes was served in individual plates and being shared among us three. it’s like eating economic rice with fragrant fattening rice (nasi lemak :/ ), delectable but isn’t really economic, the lunchy cost us around RM 25 with beverages.
