Water Front Food Court

Prices are standard-average but what the place really offers is the vast selection of street food, everyone of different age group will eventually find something that suits his/her palate.

The place is small and rather cramped, advance reservation is strongly recommended if you wish to visit in a large group. While it is fully air-conditioned, we thought it was rather warm and the air ventilation could be better.
This is the best place so far that has a good variety of food which include Malay food stall, Koay Teow Th’ng stall, Hong Kong style Wan Than Mee stall, Hokkien Mee stall and Fried Koay Teow.
Though the waiting time was slightly longer (due to the fact that the vendor has to do everything all by himself, from taking order to cooking & serving), it was certainly worth waiting.
The cafe has a small modern Asian menu, featuring some of their proud creations.
A new museum in town- Colonial Penang Museum with old artefacts is about to open its doors to the public soon but a cafe housed within the small annex right beside the main building is ready to serve its customers. Step in the cafe and you will be instantly teleported to a forest-like space in shades of wooden beam, including its tables and chairs. The open-air cafe can be very warm under the sultry weather, especially with the absence of air-conditioners.
A simple plate of Wan Ton Mee/ Tok Tok Mee (Rm 4 for Small/ Rm 5 for Large) never fails to make my day.
A cozy cafe for your leisure time. Chilling, relaxing, gossiping, just to name a few, literally a place to sip and chew!
I think with that kind of 'standard'.. it's a bit overpriced!
There were 7 options available but we opted for Spaghetti Ala Marinara (Rm 38); al-dentely cooked Spaghetti evenly tossed in zingy Tomato sauce and topped with loads of Seafood.
On one corner of the cafe is a small bakery that sells their daily fresh bakes which span across some loaves (Low GI/ Multi-Grain/ Rye), Scottish Scones and Danish Pastries etc. They are freshly baked on a daily basis but the best time to visit would probably be some time before lunch (noon would be ideal), the time when the bread and pastries are fresh out of the oven.
Fong Garden appears to be just an ordinary hawker centre in the neighborhood but what hidden inside the place is extraordinary. Firstly, there's this Chu Char corner- New Anson Park Seafood (not to be featured in this blog post) moved from Anson Park which dishes out lip-smacking dishes and we particularly recommend their Curry Fish Head but if Chu Char is not on your list, watch out for this humble stall selling Thai delicacies.
The cafe's menu is less-exciting and prices are not as competitive as some of its competitors but the cafe has many power-point plugs all over the place; making it extremely friendly for gamers to tag team.
