Chun Kee Da Pu Noodles
-
Still its a good bowl of noodle in downtown KL, recommended!
Overall: 7/10 ( I will still come even though the bad location and environment; people always say the dirtiest place has the most delicious food!! I believe this taboo now!!)
Ah Koong specializes in things fishy. The fish porridge is a wonderful, soul-satisfying dish, the simplest of elements (rice, water or broth, and a few other ingredients) elevated to heavenly heights. The fish cake is very tasty and springy.
We bought 4 packets of noodles this morning together with other Yong Tai foo etc. when we poured the soup out at home , we found total 3 dead house flies in the soup!! Called the restaurant. They were calm and said will replace when I go next . Good service attitude but this does not change the UNHYGIENIC issue in the restaurant. I won’t go back again .
We loved the fact the chapatis (wholemeal flat bread) are made on the spot but over the years due to high amount of patrons, the Indonesian helpers made them in batches and kept them warm inside a plastic warmer.
The food was great. Being streetwise and all, we decided against the claypot
The fish head noodles here can opt for plain fish slices or deep fish slices instead of only fish head.
Restoran Adai Village Fish Head, Pudu
Overall no complain on the pastry as we did not try it but we think their price is quite high vs the quality of food and drinks served.
There are not many good ones around KL or PJ, but it is always safe to go to Pudu and find some real good teochew porridge... and have a good supper/dinner.
Too bad we don't get to visit this stall when we were in Taiwan, due to the thunderstorm, raining and etc bad weather.
The herbal tea is known as Pou Yin Char is a sweet taste tea that soak the hard boil egg and give the eggs flavoring.
The bakso here is delicious – served in a bowl of beef broth, with blue tinged bihun noodles (rice vermicelli), salted vegetables, tofu, tulang, Chinese green cabbage, bean sprout, sprinkled with fried shallots and spring onions.
