You MUST try this because the char siew has flavours locked perfectly in it and create strong texture when paired with the springy noodles. Very titillating!

If anyone is up for some cafe hopping in Ipoh, we'd advise not to rule out Buku Tiga Lima. Not only does the name rings your curiosity bells, the place itself is so inviting and captivating and not to mention, the food and coffees are sublime.
One of the Ipoh delicacies that shall be tasted once in a lifetime :)
The meal was complete with a nourishing dessert that's both sweet and healthy. Kingsley and I loved the glutinous dumpling which was utterly smooth and soft, melting in the mouth upon each bite.
The airy dining ambience, friendly staff and quality cooking are factors that have kept drawing the Malay food-loving crowd day after day, and night after night.
Still, a meal for three came to about MYR102, including a serving of curry fish head, sambal petai with prawns, bean sprouts salted fish and choy pou (preserved radish) with dried shrimps omelette, steamed rice and Chinese tea, relatively acceptable but no doubt more premium that the average ‘dai chow’ restaurants.
We enjoyed their signature “1896” from the black tea selection; a rich, flavourful cup combining fruity notes of white peach, cinnamon, and gala apples, with a crisp floral finish.
The Yong Tauhu is nice. I like the fishball that is fresh and bounchy. Mum and sis enjoy the fuchuk very much.
This is kind of special... chicken with sticky rice inside the dumpling...
A very spacious place with one side air con and another side open air...
when you find the shop, you'll be enjoying your delicious wantan mee. Be sure to order extra wantan too!!!
At 3328, it seemed that they could do no wrong with their endless list of recommendations. But if you’re a first timer like myself, then try a dish cooked with their fresh snakehead fish (ikan haruan or sang yue).
Both the wanton noodles and nasi lemak fared moderately well, although did not have that WOW factor associated with say, wanton noodles from my favourite stall at Comeson or nasi lemak from …. erm, can’t think of one superb version in Ipoh.
